Reporting erosion helps control it

7 Lakes Conservation Programs Director Charlie Baeder shared this photo of a gully that was eroded by as much as 5 feet after December rainstorms.

Reports of erosion with photos following storm events assists in our erosion-control work. Please send pictures, locations and contact information to, not only for the most recent storm but for future storms, as well.

Controlling erosion, which sweeps algae-feeding phosphorus into lakes and streams, is one way we seek to protect water quality.
