Have you ever wondered how to manage your woodland to enhance fish and wildlife habitat? Did you know that a woodland professional could write a new management plan for your woodland at no cost to you? Join us for this informative workshop focusing on the Forestry for Maine Birds approach to managing wooodlands and on riparian habitat management for healthy fish and connected streams. Workshop attendees will spend the first hour with a brown bag dinner inside learning about the program, then head out to a nearby forest site to discuss habitat connectivity, forest habitat features, and management approaches for habitat enhancement. Attendees will leave with a list of experienced woodland professionals and next steps hiring a professional to visit their woodland and craft a management plan that meets their long-term goals and objectives.
