About The Event

Enjoy a beautiful winter hike on Mt. Phillip led by 7 Lakes Alliance Staff members Dan Woughter and Griff Northrop. This trail is a 1.4 mile loop through mature pines and hemlocks, with views of Great Pond to the South and the Kennebec Highlands to the west. Participants should bring water, snacks, and micro-spikes (aka crampons or yak-tracks). The forecast currently shows a high of 25 degrees Fahrenheit with minimal wind. It is recommended to wear layers, including a hat, gloves/mittens, and boots. *Snowshoes may be recommended due to snow conditions.

Parking: Meet at the Mt. Phillip trailhead parking lot located on the north side of Route 225, directly across from Starbird Lane, 1.5 miles east of Rome Corner (the junction of Routes 27 and 225). An email will be sent to registrants before the event with updated trail conditions.
