About The Event
Join LifeFlight and 7 Lakes Alliance for a Ground Safety course, helicopter demonstration, and a hike! The Ground Safety Course will be held at 7 Lakes Alliance for EMTs to partner with LifeFlight, Maine’s only air ambulance service, and learn how to transfer a patient from local EMTs to a LifeFlight helicopter. In 2022, LifeFlight transported 232 people in Kennebec County alone. The course will be followed by a helicopter demonstration at the 7 Lakes Alliance Blaisdell property in Rome for the Ground Safety crew and all community members are welcome. After the demonstration, hikers are encouraged to carpool to the Mt. Phillip trailhead for the hike!
