About The Event

Maine State Horticulturist Gary Fish will talk about the impact of invasive terrestrial plants.

Fish has served as State Horticulturist since 2015. He served as manager of the pesticide programs for the Board of Pesticides Control for 28 years, and has intermittently served as a licensed professional forester since 1985. Fish earned a bachelor's degree in forest and wildlife management from the University of Maine.

A Farmington, native, Fish describes himself as an "entomologist from birth" who was inspired to love plants by his mother who grew beautiful roses and rock gardens. He is also a landscape and nature photographer whose work is posted at https://www.etsy.com/shop/phishphotography.
