Full Moon Snowshoe on Great Pond

Meet at Great Pond boat launch at sunset to watch the full moon rise while snowshoeing across the lake! All ages and abilities welcome!

UPDATE: Hello everyone! We hope you can join us on Sunday for the full moon snowshoe event! There have been questions coming in about a variety of topics so here’s what we know! 

One of our staff and a volunteer have checked the ice thickness and it is about a foot thick! In order to ensure everyones safety, Bert Languet will be grooming a path for us to use that has been confirmed as safe! We ask that you stay on the groomed path during the event. If you are not interested in going on the ice- you are more than welcome to attend the “after party” at Bert and Sarah Languet’s on Abena Shores. We will have hot chocolate, beer, and s’mores!

The weather is looking good - and snowshoes are probably the best idea for the trip! We have two extra pairs if you would like borrow them. 

For last minute questions, directions etc. please call Aimee at (207)931-8806 .. We will be unable to answer our normal phone in Belgrade Lakes as we will be outside with all of you! 

This is a free event although donations are welcome to make future events like this one possible! Donate on our website or by cash or check on Sunday.
