About The Event

A new invasive, Curly-Leaf Pondweed (CLP), was identified in the Serpentine, a stream that flows from East Pond to North Pond. CLP is the latest invasive aquatic plant to be introduced to our watershed. Its unique reproductive strategies make the plant resistant to many treatments. 7 Lakes Alliance, North Pond Association, East Pond Association, McGrath Pond and Salmon Lake Association, and Lake Stewards of Maine, are planning to host several “Bio-Blitz” style surveys during the 2022 growing season to identify any CLP plants outside of the known infestation areas. Please join us for a special webinar to learn about this new invasive threat and how you can support our efforts.
