About The Event

Winter is a great time to get outside and learn more about wildlife in your area! Join us for a winter walk as we explore the woods and fields along the trail in search of signs of wildlife. Learn about tracks, scat, tunnels, scrapings, and more as we hike along with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

Be sure to dress for the weather, layers work best. It is recommended to bring water, as well as binoculars and snowshoes if you have them.

*7 Lakes Alliance has 3 pairs of adult snowshoes and 2 pairs of children's snowshoes.

Please email sally.whittington@7lakesalliance.org if you plan on borrowing snowshoes.

Parking: Please park at the Round Top parking lot located on Watson Pond Road in Rome, ME. We will meet in the parking lot and walk across the road to the Dolley Property where the event will begin. Please register here for this event.
